No Wasted Space

I'm starting the process of reworking my sewing room.  Since I've gone back to work it will be a slow process but I'll get there, one bit at a time.  This week my husband hung some pegboard on a wall that is behind the door going into that room....it's been completely wasted space until now.  Just look at how awesome this is!

And speaking of work....we were speaking of it weren't we?  :)  I'm working long hours and, just for this week and next, weekends too.  But I'm having so much fun!  I'd forgotten how challenging it is to get school started.  The people at this school are so warm and friendly and welcoming, and just glad that I'm there.  It's so uplifting that the hours fly by.  How cool is that!

  2. Oh WOW! That is an amazing idea! Thanks so much for sharing. Imagine not having to go through a bunch of stuff to find what I need! Did you put it away from the wall so you can get the hooks in? If so, how did you guys do that?

So happy you're enjoying "going back to school"!! They are so lucky to have you!

  7. Love that super organized wall unit. Getting a school ready to open for the new year is a challenge for sure. Glad you are having a good time doing it.

  8. A great system and a great use of that space, Marlene! Unless my work table were right next to it tho, my supplies would not likely make it back there once removed. So, I must keep this in mind if ever I once again have a dediated sewing room.

  13. And to think I made all our doors slide into the wall to be out of the way! All this time I might have been using that space.

  18. The peg board storage behind the door is a great idea. Before I retired, I loved getting my classroom ready for the opening of school. I always think of autumn as the beginning of the year rather than January. It doesn't matter what the calender says. I'm glad you are happy in the new job. It's just further reinforcement that you are meant to be there.

  24. I did a similar thing behind the door in my studio, except I hung my rulers, etc. with command strip hooks.
