Spring Beauty

This time of year I'm just in awe of the beauty I see all around me - the colors, the blooms, the whole concept of new life. These two trees are in my neighborhood. The first is just a baby; it's perfect in it's shape and form and the blooms are every one complete and perfect. This tree is in it's maturity. It's lush and full but it has a branch or two that are beginning to sag a bit. It has stretched out it's arms to the sky and is basking in the fullness of it's age.

I believe in the sun, even when it is not shining.
I believe in love, even when I do not feel it.
I believe in God, even when He is silent.

  1. Beautiful trees. Are they magnolias?

  2. Gorgeous, Marlene! We still have a bit of a wait, but our crabapple trees almost always bloom just in time for Mother's Day. Worth the wait!

  3. Are those flowering crabtrees by chance? They're beautiful. We're a few weeks away form that here yet.

  4. The first is a pink Magnolia or Tulip tree as I call them. I can't tell if the second one is the same but it looks like it might be. I saw one in my neighborhood that hadn't opened up completely, yet.
It is a blessing to see something new blooming each week.

  5. What beautiful trees. They are budding here, but not too many blooms yet.

  6. It will be the end of April until things start to bloom here. Maybe a few things before. It still is pretty bleak here. I have been buying seeds like crazy though. I will be ready when the weather is. We can't plant until snow is off Mica Peak. Thats what the old times say. Pretty accurate. Still quite a bit up there.

  8. I love tulip trees. They bloom so early and then a frost comes. I wonder how old the big one is.
