Problem Solved

I've been a pretty regular walker since last February when I decided to lose a little weight.  It worked and I lost 20 pounds.  My legs, which were pretty darn skinny to start with, got thinner.  That wasn't a byproduct I was looking for but it was ok.  I'm never going to wear shorts or a bathing suit in public ever again in this lifetime anyway.  In Heaven I'm going to have Rita Hayworth's legs so I'll wear shorts then and that's for eternity so I'm willing to make the sacrifice here.  :)  But my arms don't get a workout when I'm walking.  I could lift weights.  Well, no I couldn't.  That's way too dedicated.  But now I'm working them out so much I know I'm going to be sore for a while.  Want to know what I'm doing?  I got an Accuquilt Go! Cutter and I'm cutting up my scraps like crazy!  A tad expensive way to exercise but...whatever works I always say.

  1. Well HECK, Marlene. People spend WAY more money than the GO on exercise equipment, so cut cut cut and BREATHE, BREATHE, don't forget to BREATHE! Are we to assume then, that you will only have one skinny arm?

    Have a great weekend!

  2. That's a much more enjoyable way to exercise! Maybe I should try that...I wish I could win one! I've entered so many contests, but haven't won one yet! :(

  3. Congrats on the skinny legs. I'd settle for any part being skinny.
Be sure to change arms to keep things even.

  5. Fun!!!! I like your kind of excercise. Maybe I should cancel the gym membership and buy that membership instead.....oh the crafting possibilities.....

  6. Can you walk and use the GO at the same time???? That would work all parts at once!!!

  7. That sounds like the best kind of exercise to me! If Rita Hayworth wouldn't mind sharing her legs, can I put in a request for a pair too!?

  8. I too would settle for any part at all being skinny. In fact I would go further and say "skinny even for 5 minutes". And what a grateful, happy bunny I would be if my legs were long enough to make it a problem buying pants.

  10. I share your concern for upper arm flabbiness. Ma has lost 70 pounds over the past 5 years and I worry for her safety in a high wind if she should hold her arms parallel to the ground. If it is a west wind, Marnie, catch her as she soars by. (Don't you DARE tell her what I just said!)

  11. I reckon it's a great idea ... cheaper than a gym membership and definitely more fun ;o)!! PLUS the added bonus of all those lovely cut pieces from your scraps!!!
    Hugs,
    Joy :o)

  12. Oh, please do share with us two things: Does it slim your arms, and how do you like the Go! cutter? I have read so much about it, but have never talked to anyone who has used one. If it slims upper arms, and if you say you like it, I will have to rush to town to buy it!

    Blessings, friend.

  15. Hi, my friend -
You may have just solved a problem for me! With my weight loss I've been concerned about the upper arms swaying in the breeze. Your new toy is cheaper than surgery! Think I'd better check it out and get busy!!!

  18. I am so proud of you. Keep up the good work. I know that we should not be envious but I would give anything for skinny legs. Even when I've been really thin everywhere else my legs were too heavy.... oh well.. maybe like you I will have Rita's body in Heaven.

I have missed you so much. I am happy that my computer is letting me visit today. I hope that it stays in a good mood and I can come back soon. Hugs, Lura
