Monkey See, Monkey Do

Carol at Mama CJTs is one of the most talented ladies I've ever seen!  Several days ago she wrote this post showing the absolute cutest wall hanging ever!.  You really have to see it to believe it.  She has the most amazing color sense...and I don't.  She is incredibly creative and ideas just seem to pour out of her.  She is also generous and loves it that I tried to copy her.   Mine isn't nearly as cute as hers (and it's not finished either) but it does have it's own cuteness that makes me smile every time I look at it!  Here's my latest work in progress:
I have some more buttons to add...and I'm like a button freak now looking for them everywhere I go....and some more decorative stitching but I just love it!

And for those of you who are craving a little spring time look who came back to visit me for the summer!
The bluebirds have returned!  I feel like my college aged kids have come home.  Not that I have college aged kids.  Or would want them to come home.  But you know what I mean, right?

I'm always inspired by your creations and those of others.

How fun that the bluebirds are back. I think I heard a robin today but I couldn't find him or her. Spring is on the way!

That is so cute! I know what you mean about buttons....I can't resist looking at buttons wherever I go.

Wonderful about the bluebirds! Afraid Spring is a ways off for us here. We're expecting a big snowstorm Thursday/Friday!

Both your quilts are (and will be) too cute! What creative ideas come out of the minds of quilters! Love these.

I love bluebirds, but have I ever seen even one in my neighborhood, much less in my own yard? No! Maybe if I put up a bluebird box?

That is a cute bit of whimsy. Too bad I didn't see it before the quilt show. There were several booths selling fantastic buttons.I buy them to sew on the family umbrellas so that when they are left in a stand they can be easily identified... and less likely to be taken by mistake.

A very cute quilt. love the little pond.
Oh, lovely bluebirds. I haven't seen any visiting my house yet but have heard them in the trees.

Your hanging is so cute and whimsical. I looked at the other blog and yours is close to what she has done - I'll have to try a picture, I have lots of buttons that would work. I would definitely have to make an apple tree - I have some apple buttons that were on a dress when I was 6 or 7 years old (I'm 60) and now I know how to use them. THANKS !!
