I don't fry at my house much any more but this was delicious, fast, and easy. Those are the three necessary ingredients for any meal that I'm fixing.
And because I had a coupon, and because they doubled it, and because it was senior citizen's discount day and I got 5% more off it I tried this:
I know you've probably all had Stove Top before but I hadn't. I won't again. It was okay. If you're hungry. And don't mind all that sodium.
I hate to cook. I'm not very good at it because I don't enjoy it. But I do it because there's someone in my house who wants to eat. Two someones. Today I'm cooking a beef roast in the Crock Pot. What's for dinner at your house?
I've bought that stove top before for a stuffed chicken recipe I made once or twice but not for years.
ReplyDeleteI don't fry much anymore either. I like to use the crock pot and I like one dish meals. I do like to cook but only if I'm in the mood. Tonight, I think its chicken, slaw and sweet potatoes....
Have a blessed day,
Mama Bear
Tonight it will be bacon, eggs and English Muffins - DW and I try not to eat a big meal at night. I only fry if absolutely necessary. Your chicken looks wonderful - that would be worth frying. Judy C
ReplyDeleteI love stove top....
ReplyDeleteWhat's for dinner at my house? Whatever my husband is cooking!
ReplyDeleteI have a roast in my crock pot for tonight. I probably will have mashed potatoes and not sure what else. I hate to cook, too. It takes away from the other things I wanna be doing! :) The chicken sounds yummy, tho. :)
ReplyDeleteI love cooking dinner in my crock pot! I have no idea what we are having tonight, but just had my Greek Rosemary Chicken. Our local grocery store had huge bone-in chicken breasts on sale for $1 a lb and I stocked up. I put enough in a crock pot to fill it nicely and drizzle olive oil on, pour in some lemon juice and sprinkle with rosemary. Then I pour a generous amount of Cavender's Greek Seasoning all over he chicken breasts (pretty well coat them with it) and leave it from bedtime the night before until dinner the next day on low! (You could leave it until lunch, I guess, but we like it falling apart.)(My chicken has skin on it and it makes a nice broth in the crock pot. Your chicken will be dry if your crock pot is too big and your chicken is not cooking in the broth.) When ready to serve, add a little flour to the juices left in the pot to slightly thicken it.Serve it as is, or with flatbread and feta cheese.
ReplyDeleteYou guys are making me hungry!! I don't mind cooking IF I can cook early in the day and not late in the evening when I'm tired or into a sewing project. I'm having a pork tenderloin with sweet potatoes tonight. I want to make apple butter in my crock pot if I get home in time from my errands this morning. I'll put little Scott to nap and start peeling apples (the yucky part but I can do my thinking)
ReplyDeleteMarlene, you need to put up some of your deer meat recipes so we can all share. I do NOT do deer meat so I need help.
A Big Thank you to OnStar for the friendly phone call!!

I love to cook just as much as I love to eat. What's for dinner? A tostada casserole: just like eating a taco but as a one dish meal. Yum.
ReplyDeleteThe chicken sounds really good. I think I've made a similar recipe.
ReplyDeleteTonight we had Shrimp Creole with lots of veggies. It was very tasty! It's in my Weight Watchers cookbook. Later on dh and I will have some homemade applesauce that I made today. I guess I was into cooking today! Not always!

ReplyDeleteI'm making grilled chicken and oven fries. I'm cutting back on fried foods too. And salt.
