I Just Love This!

Is this not the cutest thing?

Made in a couple of hours using a white canvas bag I bought at Hobby Lobby - a ruffle around the bottom, a little polka dot ribbon, a monogram on the front and a sweet little tie to match the ruffle.  I also covered some foam core to make a bottom that matches the ruffle and tie and added some pink stitching on the handles.  I know a little girl that's going to love this at Christmas!  One down and two to do.  :)

    How cute is that! I often look at those bags and wonder what I could do with them.....duh! Put on a ruffle and bow and you've got a cute bag for a sweet gal. Great idea!

    Yes, it is not the cutest thing... err, No, it's not the cutest thing. Oh my! I mean it's DEFINITELY the cutest thing! It's the perfect gift for a little girl who's name begins with the letter "L." Good job!

    Marlene, I can't tell you how cute this is. I've GOT to make one. Any hidden secrets? Just top-stitch a ruffle on top? I'm headed for Hobby Lobby on Wed. when I'm out doing my Christmas shopping. I have been given the day off from babysitting while Hubby takes care of Scott and I get a whole day to myself. Whoo Hoo!! I don't complain because he will go to pre-school next year and I won't have him to myself ever again. That breaks my heartt to think about. I thought I would be happy but I've grown so attached to the little sidekick. He thinks he "helps" me sew which is so cute. Send any instructions for making this bag...I'm not as good a seamstress as you.
