I'm starting the process of reworking my sewing room. Since I've gone back to work it will be a slow process but I'll get there, one bit at a time. This week my husband hung some pegboard on a wall that is behind the door going into that room....it's been completely wasted space until now. Just look at how awesome this is!
And speaking of work....we were speaking of it weren't we? :) I'm working long hours and, just for this week and next, weekends too. But I'm having so much fun! I'd forgotten how challenging it is to get school started. The people at this school are so warm and friendly and welcoming, and just glad that I'm there. It's so uplifting that the hours fly by. How cool is that!

Great 'new' space and being happy at work is truly a plus.
Oh WOW! That is an amazing idea! Thanks so much for sharing. Imagine not having to go through a bunch of stuff to find what I need! Did you put it away from the wall so you can get the hooks in? If so, how did you guys do that?

I love how efficient that wall is! You won't need to waste time looking for everything.
Glad that everyone is so thrilled to have you at work.
Great wall! I am all for using wasted space.
Yes I agree with your first comment here.....being happy at work is wonderful!
Good grief! It looks like a store! I'm in my studio/loft right now - looking for some wall space! No luck - One wall has rails that look over the family room - the back side has short walls - oh well! WAIT - there is a door - and the wall behild it will work! OH CLARE!!! lol
So happy you're enjoying "going back to school"!! They are so lucky to have you!
I agree...that is a fantastic idea......
Love that super organized wall unit. Getting a school ready to open for the new year is a challenge for sure. Glad you are having a good time doing it.
A great system and a great use of that space, Marlene! Unless my work table were right next to it tho, my supplies would not likely make it back there once removed. So, I must keep this in mind if ever I once again have a dediated sewing room.
Great idea to use the wall behind the door for a pegboard! I always enjoyed the beginning of school - such energy everywhere! Glad you are enjoying it - again! ~Jeanne
glad you're enjoying your work.

The summer really flew by, didn't it? I can't believe it's already time for school again.
Your peg board is going to be so helpful!
Hi Marlene:
I just wanted to say thank you for the comment you made on my blog today. I am deeply touched and am so proud to "know" you by blogging. You are the kind of person that makes my heart sing because you are so sweet! I wish you could know how much it means to me! Thank you!

And to think I made all our doors slide into the wall to be out of the way! All this time I might have been using that space.
Great idea and use of space. Wonderful that you have a job that you love.
Good luck with your new job!!
You always come up with the greatest ideas. I've been struggling with how to organize my rulers. This really helps. Thanks.

The peg board storage behind the door is a great idea. Before I retired, I loved getting my classroom ready for the opening of school. I always think of autumn as the beginning of the year rather than January. It doesn't matter what the calender says. I'm glad you are happy in the new job. It's just further reinforcement that you are meant to be there.
First great to see you loving going back to huhhhh school lol and YOUR hubby deserves kudos for the peg board...absolutely brilliant...
What a wonderful idea ... I may have to see what I can do with my wasted spaces ;) ... I am sending prayers and blessings to you for goodness at your new job.
Love the wall!!!
I can't wait to see what your dream room is.
Have fun at school. You are going to be such a great blessing to so many.
Great idea and a fantastic use of space. Thanks for sharing!
Love the pegboard. I always struggle with what to do with my rulers. Ahhh, so many ideas online and so little time. :/
I did a similar thing behind the door in my studio, except I hung my rulers, etc. with command strip hooks.
