This is my daughter and granddaughter after a day of swimming and boating and "tubing". I'm at my sister's this weekend cleaning out the last of Mothers things in the apartment where my parents lived until thy died ten years ago. Ten years and I'd still like to climb up in Mama's lap.
The last room to clean is her sewing room. Lots of wonderful memories in there. She taught me to quilt and whenever I'm sewing I think of her.

Ooh, I've really been missing my mom the past few days, Marlene. My girl is getting so big, and no one else in my family has girls. Right there with you!
ReplyDeleteNever too big! Miss my mom every day
ReplyDeleteI'm sure she still has you wrapped in her arms. It is wonderful to still have her sewing skills. It will be a tough task going through her sewing room.
ReplyDeleteNever ever to big...My kids are twice the size I am ....lol
ReplyDeletelove the shot Marlene..
How strange that I was just sitting here thinking of my mom. Why don't you go ask your daughter to sit on your lap and get some cuddles? Think of all the good memories while you're cleaning out the sewing room.
ReplyDeleteYour sweet post triggered a lot of memories for everyone today.
ReplyDeleteI cuddled with my Mom clear up till she died. Some days I would give anything to curl up with her and have a chat. I am only sad that my own children aren't as cuddly as me.
ReplyDeleteMy Mom wasn't really the cuddly type, but I would be happy to cuddle my 30+ year old daughter even now.
ReplyDeleteOh there is nothing better that a cuddle, whether if I am giving or receiving. I think any of us who have lostt their Mother would love a cuddle from her now. Great post!
ReplyDeleteI can't ever remember sitting on any lap, even when I was a kid but I've got plenty of cuddling in since I became a mother and grandmother.
ReplyDeleteAh such a lovely picture! My mother is still with us but lives far away, so I only get to see her maybe twice a year. Her hugs are the best in the world!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a sweet picture of your girls.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet the memories...and the picture! You must have taught them well!
