I Love This Part

Don't you love the last few stitches of the binding? It means you're almost finished....my favorite part. :)

I'm spending my Saturday in the sewing room...how about you? I made a pot of potato soup yesterday that's going to taste even better today, my house is clean, (well as clean as it's going to get any time soon) and I've got stitching on my mind!

It's quiltin' time at my house! (We just saw The Hoppers, so 'It's Shoutin' Time in Heaven' is going through my head right now. Have a wonderful, relaxed, stitchin' day!

I'm at exactly the same point with a quilt binding! I will finish it today. As for hot soup... not here. We're heading to Farmer's Market on the golf cart, to enjoy the lovely day. Have fun sewing.

I love binding too in the evenings when I finally sit down to relax. It's high 80s today so no quilting I'm heading outdoors to the fair! Need to take advantage of this crazy weather warmth.

It sounds wonderful. It is a bit cold and rainy here - stew is in the crock pot. I'm going to break into something new today.

Putting on the binding is probably my favorite part of making a quilt, whatever the size. I think it's because it means I'm about to finish it --- Yeah! It just doesn't happen often enough! I love your backing on this ---would love to see the front...Delighted to hear of your upcoming trip!

I know what you mean about rounding that last corner of the binding. I like doing the binding.

Yep, getting that binding on ... even if like me, you still add a bit of quilting afterwards ... means the end is in sight!

Potato soup is a wonderful, cozy meal. We love it. I love Fall because it doesn`t matter if the kitchen gets hot.My house is relatively together and I am going to sew as well. Floors swept and mopped, dusting finished. Lovely quilt you`re binding.

I like doing bindings for that very reason, the end is in sight.

Yum! I'm thinking about the soups in our future as the weather begins to cool.....set some frozen chicken in the fridge to thaw and I'll make some white chicken Chili tomorrow in the crock pot....Honey Bear can have the leftovers while I'm away at conference this week.
Stitchin'? can't say I've been doing much of that this week.
