It's a Beautiful New Flag!

My cousin Carol and her husband Keith sent us a new flag for the Fourth of July celebration. Isn't it beautiful? I am thanking God today for our country and those who came before us who were wise enough and courageous enough and who had enough foresight to take those difficult steps to our beginning. And I am thanking Him for those in all the between years who fought so valiantly to maintain our freedom.

  8. Well-said! Listen, I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Aunt Julie, Veggie Mom's SIL. Veggie is retiring today as the proprietress at Eat Your Veggies! today, and I'm stepping in. I realize I have really BIG shoes to fill, but I'm up to the challenge. Please come by and wish Veggie a fond farewell on her last post. I understand that you and I share a love of quilting...Look forward to seeing you over at my new place!

  12. Amen to that! It really makes me mad when businesses fly the flag but don't take care of it. Saw one recently that was all tattered. By flying the flag they want you to think they're patriotic. By neglecting to take care of it, and mend or replace it when needed, they merely prove that what you do shouts so loud I can't hear your lip service......
