Don't let the difficulties of the present moments overshadow the reality of God's promises. God's promises still stand. And God's promises are stronger than our failures.

Things That Drive Me Crazy

1. When my computer won't get an internet connection at home but does at the computer hospital and then does again when I get home but won't the next morning. So the computer geeks think I'm crazy when really, it's the computer.

2. Neighbors who mow their grass at 7:00 in the morning. It's wet for heaven's sake and the grass piles up in clumps all over the lawn.

3. When weather predictors on the local channel say it might storm really, really bad tonight with lightning and hail and maybe tornados, or maybe it won't. When I'm living in a camper.

4. People who let their dogs roam free and poop in the yard where my grandchildren play. Even when there's a leash law and besides it's just good manners to walk your dog and use a pooper scooper.

5. Telemarketers. Especially the ones who call when the baby is asleep. Not that they know when the baby is asleep but all over the world some baby is asleep at any given time.

6. Double pane windows that somehow get a leak and it gets dirty between the two panes and you can't do anything about it except replace the window.

7. Parents of children who throw screaming fits in the grocery store and the parents don't take them out until they can calm down. Poor things are probably exhausted and yes before you tell me I know it might be the only time the parent can shop and I'm sympathetic but the poor children are making themselves sick.

8. Television advertisements for creams, lotions, salves that claim to enhance sex. At no time is that appropriate.

9. Female evangelists on television who wear enough makeup for six people. Not necessary. And makes you look like a working girl.

10. People who pass me in a curve, on a hill, with a double yellow line. When I'm driving 5 miles above the speed limit. And then a mile up the road pull into Sonic.

You are getting a definite "Amen" from me...most of these points I have experienced and they did get under my skin.

But then again we have so many things to be thankful for.

I'm with you on all points. Number 8 is particularly irritating to me. Contantly we are hearing about these things on TV and the radio and it really ticks me off that people have solving this problem at such a higher priority as, say, curing diabetes or ovarian cancer or saving the social security program or providing funding for VA programs.

(yeah, that one hits a nerve.)

Do you feel better???? Well I would. You hit all really good points,I could add a few more, but I am busy playing with my new toy. You need a little "stitch" therapy and some sunshine would be nice with that.

I think I'm gonna have to agree with you on all points!
The TV ads drive me crazy, especially since I have 2 boys (12 & 10). They don't need to see a woman taking a shower with only a little ribbon wrapped around "certain" parts. And all just to sell a skin-softening body wash!! Good grief! Oh, and what really gets me are the "male enhancement" commercials. uuuggh!
ok now you've got me on a roll!
I'll just say... yep, I understand!

DITTO, DITTO, DITTO! Especially the creams and jellies. Not appropriate, especially during prime time.

I didn't comment on your last post, but the bundle of joy is absolutely beautiful!

I agree on ALL of them also. One more for me .. hey I work for a church and the 'junk mail' I have to sort through is positively gross. Even though it goes into "JUNK", I still have to check it, just in case, before deleting it. Groannnnn!

Oh boy, do I need to do one of the entries. The problem is I just may not stop listing things that tick me off!

Sounds like someone needed to do a little venting. Love the list.

I Agree! I would also add to #2, this same neighbor, also uses snow blower at 7 am in the winter! I would understand, but he's retired for goodness sake. Sleep in! I could go on, but I won't.

We have a public footpath that runs right by the front of our property and you would not believe the amount of "calling cards" that get left behind. The interesting thing is that a very solubrious type of people walk their dogs past every day. You know the kind, very rich and upper class. Some days I feel like bagging it and delivering it back to them. It is most annoying!

I was astounded by your #8. I don't think we have any TV ads like that over here.

As for Telesales: in theory it isi illegal for them to call after about 7pm (late enough) but I wonder who would police it anyway? They always withhold their number.
