Recently Jenny of Elefantz posted a free pattern that I just fell in love with. And since she is really into recycling I stitched mine on an antique linen napkin which has a few teensy, tiny holes that are almost invisible. I think they have just worn out from use or perhaps too much bleach. Anyway, I love the way it turned out.
I added a little ruffle and I think it really sets off the sparrow.
I have no idea what I want to do with this piece but for now it's hanging on my stove and reminds me every day of His love.
Such sweet details - and so fast to stitch!
Lovely!
ReplyDeleteIt's most lovely Marlene, and what a loving reminder that we are important to our Father in Heaven.
ReplyDeleteis that a ruffle...? this is lovely Marlene...all I have my eyes on lately is walls....lol
ReplyDeleteVery pretty and I love the use of the vintage.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to use the pattern...the little sparrow is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteI love it! It's so cute. What a great reminder of the truth of God's Word - He cares for the tiny, little sparrow and He cares for me. And you, dear friend.

ReplyDeleteOh my that is lovely! great stitching and love the fabrics. I have a bunch of vintage linens maybe I should think about re-purposing them.
ReplyDeleteOh that is wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteI printed off that pattern too. One day.
ReplyDeleteI like what you made with it and it will be a nice reminder each time you step into the kitchen of God's love for you/us.
I downloaded that one too. You really have done it nicely. I must print it out and do it. The sparrow is so creatively put together combined with the stitchery.
