Never, Never, Never

Yesterday I got a haircut. I get a haircut every 4 weeks like clockwork. I don't have a lot of hair but it grows fast and for some reason within a couple of weeks I look shaggy. And it grows way down on my neck - way below where it ought to. So my beautician shaves my neckline when she cuts my hair and it just feels wonderful, for a couple of weeks. Then it needs shaving again but I can't reach it without extreme danger of cutting myself. So yesterday when I was complaining about it growing so fast she suggested we wax it. Wax it? I let her wax my eyebrows and that's not so bad. And, she asures me, it will stay "clean" a lot longer. So I agreed.

Never, never, never let anybody talk you into waxing your neck hair.

  1. Yeow!!

I'm such a big baby, I won't even have my eyebrows waxed anymore. I'm sitting here holding the back of my neck in sympathy.

  2. Marnie,

We are 62 years old. Will we never leave well enough alone? My sister was feeling old and frumpy a few months ago so she died her white hair a med reddish brown. Her hair also grows very fast and in no time it was white roots with pinkish brown ends. So, she had all the color cut off this week and it is so short that it looks punkish (that's a Carolism). I like it but her husband says she has to wear a hat at ALL times.

  4. It hurts to just think about it..

Anyone around that can put some Nair on the back of your neck?

I was waxed once.... NEVER - NEVER AGAIN............

Work on a stitchery and you will soon be thinking about something else.

  7. Maybe you could try a depilliary cream. I use one on my upper lip & eyebrow area which is for sensitive skin. Just dot it on, leave 10 minutes and wash off.

  10. Ouch Marlene,
That bound to be a sensitive area to wax. You know if your husband puts his hand on your neck it kinda sends chills down your spine, well I don't know if you'll have that for while.
    Merry Christmas,
    Bonnie
