Jerry and I began a journey a couple of years ago that has led us in a direction we never thought to take. We've done some mission work and are planning to do more. One of the assistant pastors has asked me to blog about that journey, both the stuff that led us to this point and a sort of journal as we go through the next months of preparation. She wants to use it to
strongarm, oops, convince others that they can do this too. So I've started another blog. I don't plan to write every day, or even every other day. I plan to write when the mood strikes me, or when God nudges whichever comes first. If you're interested the new one is www.aservantsjourney.blogspot.com . Honestly now, when am I going to learn to say no?

Good luck with your new {ad]venture!
looking forward to reading your story- I will follow you when dear blogger lets me- right now it will not sign me in - I will try later- hugs Meme
I don't even need to gander over there before commenting to know this will be a wonderful read for anyone. I like your Pastor's methods. hehe
Oh Marlene, this is terrific news. What an opportunity to share your faith work and that of those in your church. I felt called to do some mission work in Haiti but my physician nixed the trip due to health concerns. I'm so glad that I can now experience a mission through your eyes.
Thanks for all you do.

Marlene you are a wonderful woman, and a brave one. I so admire what you do - ALL the things you do - and all in the Lord's name. Bless you, my dear.
love, angie, xx
I will follow you wherever you may go! Remember that song? I think this sounds like an exciting adventure, and who better to tell the story! God bless!
Wow...you certainly a devoted and generous servant!
I think that it is wonderful that you two are serving the Lord as missionaries. As you bless the lives of others you too are blessed. As you know our church has an extensive missionary program. Both our son and our daughter served as missionaries. David went to Argentina for a little over two years and Erin served a sign language mission for the deaf here in the USA. We also have several older family members and friends who have served on missions. I think it is a wonderful thing that you are doing. I wish you the very best.
I will check in on your new blog from time to time. Hugs, Lura
I really enjoyed your blog posts about your last mission, I am looking forward to your new blog!
Cheers,
Dionne
