Don't let the difficulties of the present moments overshadow the reality of God's promises. God's promises still stand. And God's promises are stronger than our failures.

Sisters

I don't often tell you what to do. And I never tell you that you have to go read someone else's post. That would be taking the attention off me which, well never is exactly the word I would use here for how often I want that to happen.

But you really have to go read Janera's post about sisters because she says it all and she says it just right.

That was a nice post. I wish I had a sister. I have a daughter and we are very close. I hope to have a close relationship with my future daughter-in-law too some day. I just missed out on that sister thing.

Thanks for the link, Marnie. No new addition to the family tree, yet? I'm so excited for you! I may be in Ft. Smith later this week. Trying to entertain my grandkids and they are tired of Tulsa and Oklahoma City, since we have seen just about everything there over the past 10 years. Next closest city is Ft Smith. If you know of things there to interest teenagers, let me know.

Yes, that was a nice post. I have 2 sisters. We will soon be adding a daughter in law to my family of boys. It will be nice to have another female in the family.

Thank you for pointing us toward Janera's post. It was lovely! I always longed for a sister growing up. Have 2 younger brothers and I love them dearly. 1 SIL, a real jewel, but distance separates us all. This is a big country!

We just finished a week of Holiday Togetherness with my sister and her family. It's a lot of work, but we still love it! Here's to you and yours having the Happiest of New Years!
