Finished by Friday - Starting on Christmas

A couple of weeks ago I won a giveaway from Crazy for Primitive Quilts and Gardens. (Ok Blogger is definitely not cooperating with me today since I can't get it to highlight anything but "crazy"). I made it this week - my first Christmas finish. Is this not the cutest crow you ever saw?

This Carpenter's Wheel/Star, I can never remember the name, you have seen before. But it is now quilted, bound, and gone to it's new home. This pattern is super simple and I think I'll be making more of these for gifts. I made it in a Debbie Maddy workshop.

That carpenters star is fantastic. Looks like it is achieved with squares and no set in y seams.

That crow is looking rather cocky all perched on the Christmas ball.

Have a great weekend.

The Carpenter's Star block is so pretty and looks so complex. At this time of year, makes me think of Joseph, the carpenter and how complex his situation must have seemed until he took it one step at a time.

I hope you and your sister are having a wonderful visit. I also wish I could join you one morning, chat over a cup of steaming coffee while staring out at that beautiful lakeside view.

I wish I knew how to do this! Your projects are all so beautiful. The Christmas Crow for some reason makes me think of Apple Cider...?

That is the cutest crow I have ever seen. And the best part is that he will not leave big gooey presents on top of your car! I like your Carpenter's Wheel. It looks like it is purple, yes?

Your quilt top is gorgeous and someone is very lucky to have gotten it.

I love the star and the crow is darling. You are so good at your projects. I hope to put a binding on a quilt tomorrow. I have been trying for 2 weeks. I have never done this before so I am nervous about it.
