Don't let the difficulties of the present moments overshadow the reality of God's promises. God's promises still stand. And God's promises are stronger than our failures.

What Is That.....

What is that thing/syndrome/dread disease where you need sunshine or you turn into Mrs. Grumpy? I think I have it. Maybe not grumpy....but certainly not cheerful. Mrs. Let Me Go Back To Bed Despite The Fact That It's 7:30 A.M.? Sunshine...I need sunshine. Anybody else?

Oh, I so understand what you are saying! It just keeps raining here in Dallas and I have no desire to go out in it or to even open my blinds in the morning! And then that groundhog had to go and see his shadow! I'm ready for sunshine and warm weather. :)

It's called SAD. Seasonal Affective Disorder. It's for real!

Hope you find a cure for your SAD. They do have special lamps that help with that. Some people are more affected that others.
After years in Florida, I thrive on overcast days. I know..I'm weird.

Sunshine, who is that I don't think we've met?.
In the past 10 mintues, we have big heavy wet snow flakes falling at 36 degrees.
Happy Friday!

SAD also occurs from working inside a factory. I think that's why I NEED to run all over the country on Saturdays...to get my week's worth of sunshine in one shot.

I know that my day can go from unhappy to almost estatic (sp?) in seconds, when the sun comes out. I totally understand.

In the meantime, I say, go shopping. Get inside of those huge stores with TONS of lights. Maybe that will help your spirit and you'll find something (doesn't have to be expensive) to buy that will lift your spirit, just a little.

Happy Friday, my friend!

Sunshine? What is that? Oh, yeah, it's the big yellow thing in the sky - I've forgotten what it looks like!

This has been one gloomy winter and we've got more snow forcasted for today and the beginning of next week. I am so tired of leaving home when it's dark in the morning and getting home after dark at night.

Whatever would I find to grumble about if not the grotty weather? On the bright side, at leasat with it so wintery, we'll be able to tell for sure when Spring comes!

SAD is a problem in Ireland and other places where the sun goes missing for large portions of the year. There are lamps you can get that simulate sunshine and banish the blues! At least that's what they claim.....Hope you get some real sunshine soon!

I think I am affected by SAD. I love to see the sun shining, which it isn't at the moment, and won't be til next week sometime.

But if you are like me, you can't stay in bed late anyway, even though I'd like to sometime.

I have a friend whose 3 yr old got scared when the sun peeped out the other day. It had been so long since she'd seen such bright light she refused to go outside. :(

I turn on every light in my house, turn on some good music & clean or cook. It usually helps me recover. Jen

Sunshine would be nice, but when I last looked out, our torrential rains had turned to wet snow. So maybe another day will provide sunshine for us.

Oh, I so relate to your post! Last weekend snow and ice here and this week and all day today 100% rain! Surely it will all be over soon and we will begin to see sunshine, and grass growing and maybe even some daffodils! (do you think?)

Yep, SAD. Hope you're feeling HAPPY soon. We have more snow on the way here in Northern Arkansas this weekend. Ick.

All we have is clouds and rain and cold weather. I am so ready for spring, and gardens, and flowers.
