Don't let the difficulties of the present moments overshadow the reality of God's promises. God's promises still stand. And God's promises are stronger than our failures.

Almost Done!

They're almost done with my floors - just a little thing here and there to be done - so I was able to move most everything back in.  I love the way they turned out.  Having carpet out of the bedroom will be so helpful for my allergies!

But the best part of all is my sewing room - no more carpet!

This room probably looks a bit chaotic to you but trust me, it's calm compared to where it sometimes is!  And organized...I know where almost everything is.  :)  Notice I said almost.  Maybe I won't spend hours looking for something since I just took it all out and put it all back...maybe I'll remember where I put things in such an organized manner.  Do you ever put something in a safe place so you'll know where it is?  And then forget where you put it?  That happens in my sewing room....a lot!

I love wood floors and these are gorgeous. Yes, I find the more I organize the more I can't find things.

I got new floors this summer and clean-up after a paper-piecing day is SO, SEW easy and quick. Wish we hadn't waited so long to go with wood laminate floors. You will truly be so happy with them.

That floor is wonderful! It will be so easy to gather the thread bits that are always everywhere. Your space looks lovely and gee..... for those lost things.... it's always a nice surprise when I come across them again!

Yeah, no more carpet! We have new carpet for our living room on order. What's in there is 20 years old plus. I TRIED to talk the blacksmith into hardwoods but didn't win. We have a lot of wood now, and I love it all.

Have fun chasing those dust bunnies!

I will be interested to know how you like the hard floor in about six months. It will definitely be easier to clean - threads, scraps, dropped pins more visible - but I wonder about your feet and back when standing. Someday I will have to do what you have done, though I may have to go with tile. It's good to know I can get advice from you.

Wood floors are beautiful, you are really going to like them. We have wood floors on two levels in our home. The basement where I have my sewing room we carpeted because it much warmer on feet. Sweeping up in my sewing room is a snap, just all part of the daily closing up shop. It never dawned on me that could be a reason for my husbands allergies.

Beautiful floors...I would luv a carpet free home, hopefully in my next move. We are procrastinating, I wish it was behind us.

I am always having issues finding things in my sewing room, even more now that I am using two rooms instead of one. One time we went on vacation when our children were little. I hid a pair of diamond earrings in our bedroom. That was about 25 years ago. I haven't found those earrings yet!

I had wood floors put in the new house in the dining room, living room and master bedroom. I've discovered I don't LIKE walking barefoot on wood floors! YIKES! I wound up putting a big, room-size rug in the living room and a rug on my side of the bed. Who woulda thought? Oh well, it's done.
