Well, I thought, if you can do that you can surely do one more thing. I didn't need gloves because, honestly, I mostly use the dishwasher. But sometimes I do wash things by hand, like maybe a wine glass...or two. And when I do I like to let them air dry in my drainer. So I made a pretty dish drainer cloth (what a wonderfully creative name) which also doubles as a toaster cover when it's not being drained on!
And since I had a little fabric left I ruffled up my healthy snack jars. Yes they are healthy - walnuts and sunflower seeds. Protein. I think.
Do self ruffled things count in this hop? I feel sure they do. :) I love embroidery and wanted some new pillowcases for a couple of pillows in my bedroom. Thank goodness I finished them just in time!
Can you see my Southern Belle peeking out on both sides of the floral shams? Here's a close up of her.
And a side view so you can see how she looks when I enter the room.
Whew! Who knew I could do so many ruffled things? But I really, really needed to make a baby gift so here's my last ruffle for a while....a sweet little burp pad.
The pattern called for button eyes but I just couldn't bring myself to do that - I remember my babies chewing on their burp pads!
I only had flat lace in my stash so I just ruffled it myself!
And my goal is accomplished - I made something ruffled. Or a few somethings. I hope you enjoyed them! Please check out the rest of our bloggers today because you're sure to see some wonderful things:

Lots of ruffled goodness for your kitchen! The burp pat is sew cute. Thank you for sharing.
I don't even think I can find one project here that isn't sew darn cute.. Great Job on all of them.
I think you just did a beautiful job with all your ruffles. Oh your sweet lady, too sweet.
I adore the dish drainer cloth. I just grab some sort of towel. This is much, much prettier. Your sis is going to be thrilled with her rubber gloves. I see the snack covers match the dish drainer cloth/toaster cover. Great job! The pillow cases are adorable. I think we are all salivating over them. And, some parents are going to be thrilled with the burp pad. My daughter's middle name is Alison and her brother thought it was Elephant. So, for some reason she had lots of elephants in her life. Thanks for participating.
You had a ruffling good time by the looks of it! The gloves are my favourite, and I have a friend I could see in those!
Love your projects!
Love your ruffly gloves...I keep meaning to make some for myself...I'll just have to get out there and do it. Oh, and what a creative cover for your toaster. I see all the ones that "fit" it, but we use our toaster many times throughout the day, and I just couldn't see us using a fitted cover easily, but a draped cover, now why didn't I think of that! Your stitcheries are beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
You did do some pretty ruffling ! Your sister will adore those fancy rubber gloves ! Everybody grab your drawers before Marlene puts a ruffle on it ! LOL
You definitely embraced ruffles! You have some great ideas here and made some terrific projects!

Wow, each project is special and so pretty! Your bed pillows are really beautiful.
Lovely projects Marlene! I love your southern bell pillow cases! So frilly and pretty :) Great job.
WOW! I am seriously impressed! Each ruffle is so nicely done, and you even ruffled your own lace. The burp cloth is adorable. Good thought about the eyes. That stuff worries me.
* By the way, I have the same food scale and same color Artisan mixer * : )

Wow, lots of ruffled goodness. Love that elephant and your lovely antebellum lady. Beautiful work on everything!!
Oh Marlene!!!! I can't pick a favorite now....when I saw those gloves; I thought ok they are the cutest things ever! Then I scrolled down more....lol. adorable ruffles on everything. The white pillow cases are gorgeous..and the burp pad; well!!!!! Wonderful job
I'm with Marjorie, each one got a little cuter. I quess that means that the baby pad is my favorite. It would be hard for me to use it, only when out for special occasions. Very nice work, you can tell they are a labor of love.
I also copied your christian image. I been looking for something for my sidebar to reflect my witness for the Lord. This is perfect for me, saying it all with out yelling at any one. I won't post it till you let me know it is ok for me taking it. Thanks
You DID make a few RUFFLED things! They are all just perfect but my favorite is the southern bell ladies. A very nice addition to your bedding.
You did a fabulous job on all your ruffle creations. The redwork ladies and their ruffles are beautiful. Congratulations on being in the top two today. Great job.

Oh what great ruffled projects you have made. They are all so pretty! I also enjoyed seeing your Southern Bell. So dainty she is.
I can honestly say I've never seen rubber gloves with ruffles. What a great idea! You have a lovely selection of ruffles.
For not knowing what you were going to make with ruffles, you sure came up with great ruffled projects. Love all of them.
Maybe if I ruffled my healthy snack containers I would be more likely to go for the healthy snacks!
Love all of your projects. Those ruffled gloves remind me of that BBC show 'How Clean Is Your House'. lol I do love embroidered pillow cases and yours is really pretty.
Oh my gosh those gloves are amazing. Fashionable cleaning at its utmost. All projects sweet and ruffly.
ALL of your projects are lovely but the Belle is a real WOW.
As always, I did enjoy myself; thank you. The burp cloth is toooo cute for burps!! All your kitchen ruffles were sweet and so ruffley. I love your southern belle pillowcases. I remember my mother-in-law having a set of cases with that full-skirted belle on them; I wonder what happened to them. They are perfect on your bed with the ruffled edge.
I can't believe it. Who'd have ever thunk of rufflin' rubber gloves. Once you give them to your sister, she's gonna be hooked and you'll be makin' them for her for the rest of your natural lifetime. Wow, truly. Once you started ruffling you didn't quit. Is there anything in your kitchen left to ruffle? Maybe your dishrags?
But your pillowcases really are the ultra best. Who wouldn't love to come and crawl into that bed? I know that I would, and I'm sure that you love it, too, especially since it is all your lovely effort that created the effect. The ruffled belle is really impressive!
Rubber glove idea was soooooo cool!!! Love the Embroidered pillow cases too.. But think favorite..but not ruffled lol...item is your Teapot with Ric-Rac edge in your window!! Beautiful!!!
What cute ideas! :)
I am so impressed with all of your wonderful projects. I couldn't begin to say which one is my favorite as I love them equally..well maybe the teapot with the ric-rac edge. (I'm a fool for ric-rac, as I love the vintage look it gives to projects).
Thanks for sharing it all.
Cheers
