Don't let the difficulties of the present moments overshadow the reality of God's promises. God's promises still stand. And God's promises are stronger than our failures.

L Is For...

Continuing on with my personality inventory:

I'm struggling with this one.  Not because I can't think of anything but because there are two parts of my personality I can't ignore.  I'm logical, and I'm a listener.

Things have to make sense to me.  I was a math teacher because math makes sense.  There are rules and if you follow the rules you get where you're going.  I want things to be in order, desks in a row and not in circles, cans lined up on the shelves.  Get the picture?

I was also a counselor because I'm a listener.  People tell me things.  Things I don't always want to know.  For instance, one time in the drug store a man stopped me and asked where the Depends were. Then he explained why he needed them.  And because I'm kind (see a previous post), I listen.  :)

I mean, really, how many people would that happen to?  :)

If logic has to do with math ... I am in deep trouble. When I run out of fingers I am stuck. But then, the librarian part of me loves to have a place for everything and everything in its place ... and a lot of those books are sorted by number. If the guy had asked me, I wouldn't have known what he was talking about. LOL!

I agree with Michelle people can see when someone will help.

I must have the same sign on my forehead...tell me, tell me!

I feel like a bartender at work, everyone tells me their problems and even shows me surgical scars!

Have a great day.

It's a shame it wasn't that cute Movie Star Lisa, asking where the depends were!
Have a great week!

LOL I am like you...logical. In fact, when my daughter was in college and wanted me to take a personality test, I complied, only to find that the character I was "closest" to was Spock. Giggle!

I resonate with the logic of rules, Marlene! When I taught second grade, a learner outcome in social studies was "Knows the reasons for rules." You know, you can't explain to some people the reason for rules. I think some of us see the rules as our friends, and interpret them in the spirit in which they were intended, and others fight them (or ignore them as without value) all through life. Disdain for rules was the first sign of our fallen nature.

I wondered what the picture of the Depends had to do with your post today. LOL!

You and I are a lot alike, not the math part but the listening part for sure. I find that people also tell me things; too much most of the time! ;)

Evidently you looked like a wise person who would know where everything is, right?

Well, you are a sweetheart for listening.

I'm a nurse.
Even outside the ER setting I'm astonished at what neighbors and church people tell me!

You were a math teacher huh? That explains your love of quilts. Very left brain you are!

Logical and a listener..I might add, Loyal & Loving! I'm afraid, logical I'm not. I'm more of a free spirit, the big Picture. I've always said I could rule the world if I had a secretary! Take care my friend!
