I've started a new series - wool candle mats from Primitive Gatherings. This is the first one I've finished. I'm using it as a mug rug on my desk. :)
As you can see from the closeup I'm using variegated Valdani threads with a blanket stitch. My next one in this series will be a patriotic one...red, white and blue. These are small enough to finish in an evening or two!

Very pretty colors...is it machine washable ? , I want to do wool applique, what kind of wool do I start with...! I know NOTHING about it !
That looks so pretty. I love the stitching you did.
Wow - very pretty! Love that soft pink :) Isn't it relaxing to hand-stitch something small and beautiful in wools?

Primitive gathering designs such cute wool projects and you've finished it perfectly. Love the use of the variegated thread. Your stitches are so even and lovely.
