Don't let the difficulties of the present moments overshadow the reality of God's promises. God's promises still stand. And God's promises are stronger than our failures.

Preparing To Leave

Out of chaos…..

012

Comes order….

014

I didn’t realize how scattered all my sewing stuff was in this two room apartment until I gathered it all up from under the bed, in the corners, and behind the recliners and dumped it all on the couch in the “big living room.”  I sorted, discarded (yes I did discard some stuff I promise!), folded, and found spots for all of it.  Now it waits to be packed into the car for the journey later this week.

Friday morning after breakfast we will head for home after four months here at UMCOR Sager Brown.  This is obviously the longest mission trip we’ve ever done but I can honestly say it has been the best.  We have fallen in love with this mission, meaning the place, and with the mission, meaning the work.  We have made friends who have become our family away from home and who have worked with us, prayed with us, and laughed with us.  We have done work that changes peoples lives for the better.  And God smiled on us as a parting gift this weekend.  How beautiful is His work!

I almost said "good job done" but I'll bet you're not done. :) Have a safe trip back home! On a side note: it doens't look like we're going to get your way this fall. :( Not enough time to go that far.

It's been fun following your journey. I'll bet you'll be happy to be back home though!

Ah, Marlene. Bittersweet. Now another big chunk of your heart to leave behind. Heaven will be the most blessed for those who have dared to scatter their hearts wherever the Spirit leads them. I believe all those pieces will be reunited for eternity!

I hope you are telling your dear ones there about your blog. They will love keeping up with you.

Blessings to YOU, Marlene!

It's over already? Seems the time went fast, but then, we were volunteer campground hosts for only 9 weeks and that flew by quickly too. You are a blessing to so many. I pray God's blessings on you, too!

I admire you so much for all that you do. I love the rainbow. It was just a little bonus.
